A scenario analysis of China's electricity-related CO2 emissions is performed. CO2 emissions cannot easily reach their peak before 2030. CO2 emissions are sensitive to electricity consumption and generation efficiency. Total electricity consumption is the major factor for the emission change. Industrial exports and household consumption are important for emission mitigation.
