Attapulgite was modified by covalent grafting of [3-(2-Amino ethylamino)propyl]trimethoxysilane. The obtained organoclay was fully characterised and shown to be a prominent material for the building of stable and sensitive amperometric sensor. The obtained sensor display a detection limit estimated at 0.88 × 10−12 M, allowing the determination of Lead(II) in tap water.
