Electrochemical switch on-off response of a SAM upon exposure to perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) is studied. Pristine SAM is doped to mimic the interface interaction between PFOA and SAM. Insertion of PFOA into SAM is proposed due to partial-micelle and F-chemistry interaction.
