Activation of mAChRs transactivates FGFRs in primary hippocampal neurons. FGFRs are transactivated in a Src-dependent manner. FGFRs phosphorylation correlates with neurite outgrowth. Phosphorylation of FGFRs is fully blocked by M1R antagonist Pirenzepine. M1R-FGFR1 heteroreceptor complexes were identified.
