Assessment and prognosis of hand burns requires consideration of the site and burn depth. The Hand Burn Severity (HABS) score stratifies hand burns according to severity. The HABS score was retrospectively validated by scoring 121 hand burns on 109 patients. Good inter-rater reliability and correlation between HABS score and outcome were shown.
