Application of the general theory of disperse deposits formation in an investigation of mechanism of zinc electrodeposition from the alkaline electrolytes
Zinc is electrodeposited potentiostatically from the zincate electrolytes. The polarization characteristics of Zn were correlated with the surface morphology. The exchange current density for Zn was estimated in the range 18.4–88 mA cm− 2. A new insight in mechanism of Zn electrodeposition is presented. The general theory of disperse deposits formation is used to obtain a new insight.
