Cold-formed and thin walled (CFTW) steel shapes were used for enhancing energy dissipation capacity and ductility of shear dominant RC walls. Four scaled wall specimens were tested to investigate influence of volumetric ratio of embedded CFTW steel truss web braces on overall seismic performance of squat RC walls. A thorough parametric analysis was further conducted to investigate the seismic performance of composite walls with embedded CFTW steel truss.
