The national mapping projects have been implemented after the Fukushima accident. Large-scale environmental monitoring and migration studies have been continuously conducted. The main results from the projects between 2011 and 2013 were compiled in the first special issue published in 2015. The present second special issue is intended to supplement the first special issue.
