The paper presents a meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials that used pure genistein as the treatment intervention. All the trials exclusively included postmenopausal women. Genistein improves glucose control and insulin sensitivity in postmenopausal women. Longer genistein treatment duration may achieve better results.
