N supply does not affect allometric relations describing dry matter partitioning. N dilution curves differ between plant organs, growth stages and N treatment levels. Crop response to N stress suggest a sink priority for leaves under N deficiency. Organ-specific N dilution curves may improve the simulation of N response.
