PVC gel soft actuators have many positive characteristics such as stable actuation in the air, high output, notable response rate and low power consumption.

We designed and prototyped a novel walking assist wear using PVC gel actuators.

The characteristics of the fabricated prototype were evaluated and showed that the proposed system worked well.

The proposed walking assist wear has the advantages of a light weight, a good flexibility and a simple structure that can be easy to don and doff.
