The effect of increasing the initial pH with and without its control on zinc recovery is analyzed. When controlling pH, zinc redissolution is prevented. Zinc was co-precipitated together with iron, due to increase of the solution pH. Setting pH around 3 leads to high values of zinc recovered and low iron co-deposition.
