Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDES) and hexa-brominated biphenyls (Hexa-BBs) in fresh foods ingested in Taiwan

Dietary exposure to PBDEs & Hexa-BBs were compared with margin of exposure (MOE). Highest estimated daily intake of PBDEs and Hexa-BBs were in 0- to 3-year-olds. ΣPBDEs consumed (ng kg−1 bw d−1) decreased with increasing age. Taiwan dietary exposure not significant: BDE-47, -99, −153, & −209 MOEs >2.5.
