Solubility of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) enhances in micellar solutions. Binary surfactant systems show better solubility enhancement. Oppositely charged mixed gemini surfactants show even better solubilization. Selected systems are found suitable for the solubilization of all PAHs. Study can be used to enhance solubilization of other organic pollutants.
