HNC patients undergoing helical IMRT experience a range of treatment related effects. Symptoms peak in the final week of treatment and improve thereafter. Most symptoms are better than baseline by 12 weeks post-treatment. HNC patients undergoing helical IMRT continue to need speech pathology support.
