Soy and milk liposomes interact differently with mucus at the interface. Epigallocatechin-3-gallate loaded liposomes modified rheological properties of mucus. Mucus presence on uptake experiments relates to lower recovery of bioactives. Combination of material science approach and cell uptake as a new tool for assessment.
