A 1550 nm laser source with optical fiber is used as Fabry-Perot interferometer.

This optical fiber sensor system to detect different gasoline blends in ethanol.

Wavelength shift and fringe visibility are used to analyse the interference pattern.

The sensor shows the remarkable response with fast response and recovery times.

A dual scale of sensing system has been proposed.
