Factors that predict health status and hand function of people at 12–24 months after hand burn were identified. History of psychiatric illness was the strongest significant person factor associated with worse global health status. Female gender had a strong significant negative association with health status and hand function. Reconstructive surgery was the treatment factor with the strongest significant negative association with hand function.
