Exposure of stickleback embryos to low oxygen resulted in concentration dependent developmental delays. Hypoxia caused significant changes in copper toxicity throughout development. Prior to hatching, hypoxia protected embryos from copper toxicity. After hatching hypoxia increased copper toxicity.
