Detailed heat transfer and pressure loss characteristics in swirl tubes with one and multiple tangential jets. Comparative experimental and numerical results were provided. Heat transfer patterns are substantially different for swirl tubes with one and multiple tangential jets. Performances are analyzed under equal mass flow rates and equal inlet jet Reynolds numbers. Details of the flow structure from computations were provided.
