PIV combined with Laser Sheet and Image Analysis based technique (LSIA) was employed.

PIV was applied to obtain the velocity distribution with photocatalyst as tracer particle.

The particles distribution in slurry suspension was obtained by LSIA.

Hydrodynamic and optical properties of slurry flow in the tube reactor were fully investigated.
