The fluorescence of AO was quenched by gold nanocomposites due to FRET. The binding of TM on BSA-AuNPs-Ab led to a decreased FRET efficiency. A highly sensitive method for the quantitative detection of TM was developed. The release of sTM by the injured HUVEC-C cells was investigated.
