TiH2 greatly lowers the dehydrogenation temperature of 4MgH2-NaAlH4. The MgH2-relavent dehydrogenation activation energy is reduced by 91 kJ mol−1 in the presence of TiH2. TiH2 improves the re-hydrogenation kinetics and alters the reaction pathway.
