Oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) mechanism studied on dense LSC electrodes with EIS.

Reaction kinetics (area-specific conductance) show the universal Po2 exponent, 1/2.

Po2 exponents derived for elementary reactions are compared with the experiments.

Rate-determining step is reaction between surface peroxide ion and oxygen vacancy.

Availability of the reactants determines the cathode reaction kinetics.
