Mode I delamination mechanism of CFRP interference-fit installation process can be analyzed with the proposed method. Critical delamination force (CDF) decreases with increasing interference percentage but increases with residual layers. Delamination happens or not is determined by the comparison between CDF and friction. Except for 0.4%, there is varying degrees of delamination for the 0.8%, 1.2% and 1.6% interference of 6mm diameter hole.
