Paroxysmal ataxia and dysarthria (PAD) is a rare but well-established symptom in patients with multiple Sclerosis (MS). PAD appears to be associated with lesions affecting the cerebello-thalamo-cortical pathways. This case report describes successful resolution of PAD after treatment with levetiracetam. We propose that levetiracetam be considered as a first-line choice for symptomatic management of PAD and other paroxysmal symptoms.
