Our results indicate that accuracy of EBV based on molecular relatedness can compare with based on pedigree. Our results indicate that molecular relatedness will play a role in turbot breeding where pedigree data is insufficient. Application of this method may help address the lack of genetic diversity in a widely cultured species.
