The kinetics of DNA migration in the comet assay was measured for nucleoids obtained from three different cell types. The distributions of the loop length up to 150 kb were shown to be exponential, in an accordance with Hi-C data. The DNA loops were shown to be distributed differently in the three types of nucleoids. Large-scale features of the loop domain organization are preserved in nucleoids after cell lysis.
