A nuclear-based integrated system for hydrogen production is proposed. The integrated system performance is evaluated through thermodynamic analysis. The integrated system includes the four-step Cu-Cl cycle for water decomposition. The system can produce 2.02 kg/s of hydrogen at 700 bar and 553 MW of power. The energy efficiency of the system is 31.6% and its exergy efficiency is 56.2%.
