Quantitative assessment of similarity between randomly acquired characteristics on high quality exemplars and crime scene impressions via analysis of feature size and shape

RAC loss varies between 33% and 100% with an average of 85%. 64% of the crime-scene-like impressions exhibited fewer than 10 RACs. Stochastic dominance equals 72% for RAC maps via phase only correlation. Comparisons of >44,000 RACs with coincidental association in position. Of all metrics tested, MF expressed the least dependence on RAC shape and size.
