Since 2000, a number of studies have integrated group concept mapping in traditional measurement development and evaluation processes. New instruments created in these studies demonstrated solid psychometric properties derived from multiple analytical methods. Across studies, concept mapping was used to establish content validity, guide decision-making, integrate perspectives, and inform analyses. Concept mapping can play a key role in processes to evaluate measurement characteristics and quality of newly developed instruments.
