Ca and Fe co-doped SmBaCo2O5 + δ layered perovskite as an efficient cathode for intermediate-temperature solid oxide fuel cells

A-site Ca and B-site Fe co-doping is proposed in SmBaCo2O5 + δ layered perovskites. Ca and Fe co-doping lowers the thermal expansion coefficient of SmBaCo2O5 + δ. The ASR of the Ca and Fe co-doped sample is decreased by 49.3% at 800 °C. The co-doping increases the maximum power density of single cell by 50.7% at 800 °C.
