Non-canonical Wnt signaling is required for craniofacial development. Two distinct chondrocyte populations in Meckel's cartilage with different sensitivity to Wnt signaling. Non-canonical Wnt signaling is required to align, polarize and orient cells in regions fated to become endochondral bone.
