The influence of fire history, plant species and post-fire management on soil water repellency in a Mediterranean catchment: The Mount Carmel range, Israel
Soil water repellency is low under wet conditions impacted by Mediterranean forest fires. Fire reduces surface soil water repellency (SWR). Vegetation is a key factor in SWR in post-fire periods in Mediterranean ecosystems. Post-fire treatments contribute to higher SWR than untreated areas.
