We previously created a novel influenza viral vector Brucella abortus vaccine, Flu-BA. Flu-BA expresses the Brucella ribosomal L7/L12 or Omp16 proteins. We experimentally evaluated the safety and effectiveness of Flu-BA in sheep and goats. Flu-BA was safe and induced an antigen-specific T-cell immune response. Flu-BA provided protection against B. melitensis 16 M infection in sheep and goats.
