Incorporation of fluorosilane coated TiO2 nanoparticles into electrospun membranes for MD. Enhanced addition of TiO2 nanoparticles to electrospun membranes via coaxial and dual nozzles. Higher contact angles of 149.8° and 153.4° by addition of hydrophobic TiO2 using multi-nozzles. Hydrophobic surface and interior of electrospun membranes enable high performance of DCMD. DCMD of high flux without wetting by combination of beads-on-a-string and well-formed fibers.
