BSCC mixed matrix membranes containing copper oxide and perovskite phase. Exceptionally high O2 fluxes reaching 27.5 ml cm−2 min−1 at 950 °C. O2 permeance was 86 times higher above 18 kPa than best perovskite membrane. A key feature of BSCC is an intergranular network of an amorphous copper rich phase.
