Enhanced antifungal activity of michelia oil on the surface of bamboo paper packaging boxes using helium-neon (HeNe) laser and its application to brown rice snack bar
Laser was used to enhance antifungal activity of michelia oil and linalool. Laser could decrease the total phenolic content while the change of aliphatic hydrocarbons was observed. Linalool was the main component that inhibited mold cells and mold spores after laser treatment. Michelia oil activated with laser extended the shelf-life of brown rice snack bar by five times.
