Knowledge on hypochlorite extrusions during endodontic treatment is primarily based on previously published case reports. The management of hypochlorite extrusions appears to be very empirical. The literature showed that clinical cases were reported in an unsystematic manner, and some relevant information was missing. The present study proposes a template that can fulfill standardization objectives and paves the way for better understanding of the factors, management, and prognosis of hypochlorite accidents.
