Benzotriazole pyridine-2-carboxylic acid crystal was grown by solution growth method. BTPCA crystallizes in orthorhombic crystal system with space group Pna21. UV–vis–NIR spectral studies reveal that the grown crystal has wide transparency. The second harmonic output power of the BTPCA crystal is 2.5 times greater than KDP.
