Bilayer composite NiTi/TiCN coatings were deposited under various thickness ratio. Decreasing the thickness of NiTi interlayers improve the wear resistance of the composite coatings. Increasing the thickness of NiTi interlayers enhances the adhesion of the composite coatings to the substrates.
