Continuous durations of favourable conditions of mould growth are studied. For determination of the durations an extension of the TOW concept is adapted. Use of the statistical extreme value theory is emphasised. Estimates of exceedance probabilities of high durations are obtained. Vulnerability to mould infestation is quantified by the mean return period.
