The median lethal concentrations of sulfide to L. vannamei were determined. The toxicity of sulfide to L. vannamei was revealed by metabonomics. Sulfide could lead to the dysfunction of mitochondria respiration of L. vannamei. Sulfide alerted the health status and lowered the survival of L. vannamei.
