Temporal trends of persistent contaminants were reconstructed from archived soils. Concentrations of SCCPs and PCBs have decreased since 1994 and 1999, respectively. Concentrations of MCCPs have continuously increased, particularly between 2009 and 2014. The substitution of PCBs by SCCPs and SCCPs by MCCPs is reflected in soil samples.
