Tension induced surface plasmon-polaritons at graphene-based structure

Graphene induced TM surface plasmon-polaritons (SPPs) are bound confined modes. Field components penetrate into the dielectric layers in the rang very smaller than the wavelength. For tension along zigzag direction, propagation length and penetration depth of TM SPPs increase with increasing the strain. The existence range of SPPs depends on the angle between the tension direction and tangential electric field.
