Nucleation and growth of zinc oxide nanorods directly on metal wire by sonochemical method

ZnO nanorods were grown directly on wires using sonochemical method. Effect of precursor concentration and ultrasonic power was studied. The growth structure and density of the nanorods were affected by the precursor concentration. The morphology, distribution, and orientation of the nanorods were influenced by the ultrasonic power. Low ultrasonic power was required for the nucleation of ZnO nanorods on the wire.
