PF-derived porous carbon nanosheets (PFC) was fabricated for supercapacitors. Oxygen and nitrogen co-doped PFC was simply prepared by direct pyrolysis. The electrochemical tests exhibited a high volumetric capacitance of 287 F cm−3. Retention of 96.1% of its initial capacitance was achieved after 10000 cycles. PFC based supercapacitor exhibits a high volumetric energy density of 14.8 Wh L−1.
