Studies on solution processed Graphene-Nb2O5 nanocomposite based photoanode for dye-sensitized solar cells

Graphene-Nb2O5 nanocomposite is synthesized by hydrothermal method. G-Nb2O5 nanocomposite is applied as a photo-anode in DSSC assembly. Incorporation of graphene facilitated the electron transport process. Addition of graphene reduced the band gap energy of G-Nb2O5 nanocomposite. 52% improvement in efficiency and 68% increase in fill factor are reported as compared to unmodified Nb2O5 nanostructure.
