Approximately a third of all gliomas presented with preoperative epileptic seizures at diagnosis. Low-grade gliomas, cortical involvement and topoisomerase II positivity were predictors of preoperative epileptic seizure. Current studies concerning clinicopathological predictors for glioma-related epilepsy are relatively limited and inconsistent.
