Solid sampling determination of magnesium in lithium niobate crystals by graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry

SS-HR-CS-GFAAS methods were studied for determining Mg dopant in powered LiNbO3. Optimal conditions were attained using the Mg line at 215.4353 nm. Optimal Tpyr of 1500 °C was found by recording the pyrolysis curve. Compromise Tat of 2400 °C was found by recording the atomization curve. Accuracy of the results was checked by FAAS using solutions of digested crystals.
